We are Building a House!

Let the chaos continue, WE ARE BUILDING A HOUSE!!

The last two and a half weeks have been one crazy journey. It all started when my car got hit, add in the LASIK, wedding planning, and being sent to Houston for work and you have my January.

Here is a picture Chad got during LASIK. He got to watch (even film) the entire procedure.

Fast forward to February:
I am back in Houston, wedding planning continues, and my car is on its third week in the repair shop. In case things were not exciting enough, we decided to BUILD A HOUSE!!

I flew back to Birmingham for the weekend (unfortunately my luggage did not make it with me). After picking out all the wedding flowers Saturday morning,  we met with our realtor. We revisited all of our favorite homes on the market before deciding to buy an empty lot and build our very first home. We are building in a planned development and selected one of the pre-designed floor plans. We selected Lot #32 which has already been cleared. I am so thankful my parents came up to help us make our decision. We are hoping to move in at the end of June!

Here we are adding the red sold dot to the lot we selected.

Signing our contract - can you tell which one of us was nervous?

I'm such an indecisive person and we have been looking at homes for 2-3 months. We felt this lot and home plan was just what we needed and decided to
GO FOR IT!

I can't wait!!

I am already wanting to order a return address stamp and paint the monogram for our front door.

  2. That is great! Congratulations you two! ^__^ I hope you find yourselves a good contractor. Me and her husband just had our house completed. It only took 2 ½ months for it to be finished because it was all pre-fabricated. Can’t wait to see your new house!
